Sporting Equals exists to actively promote greater involvement by all communities that are disengaged especially the black and minority ethnic population in sport and physical activity. We are the primary driver and funding channel for national and regional programmes in this field.
Our mission is to make a sustainable difference to the inclusion of all under-represented communities in sport and physical activity, so as to improve the long-term opportunities and health outcomes of those communities.
Women’s Sport and Fitness Foundation
Our aim is to create a nation of active women; from dancing in the living room to celebrating gold, we want to make sport and fitness an everyday part of life for women and girls.
To do this we are working to tackle the things that are currently putting them off…a culture which prizes thin over healthy, sport and fitness delivery which doesn’t always have women’s needs at its heart and a sport sector which puts men way out in front in terms of profile, investment and leadership.
To make being active more attractive for women and girls we do three things: Help, Inspire & Persuade.
Federation of Disability Sports Organisations
The FDSO works with its strategic partners, the English Federation of Disability Sport and Sport England creating greater opportunities for people with disabilities ensuring more sports, more choices and the chance to have a say in how sport is planned and delivered.
In addition to this development work, FDSO produces an annual calendar of events, activity and sports development days, coaching courses and competitive events for people of all abilities and age groups.

The English Federation of Disability Sport (EFDS) was established in September 1998 as the national body and charity dedicated to disabled people in sport throughout England.
We work closely with a number of key partners to improve and increase the opportunities offered, ensuring disabled people have a memorable experience of sport and physical activity. Our partners include the National Disability Sports Organisations (NDSOs) recognised by Sport England and a part of our membership.

The Coalfields Regeneration Trust (CRT) is an independent regeneration organisation that was established in 1999 to improve the quality of life in Britain’s coalfield communities. We are a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee, governed by a board of voluntary trustees.
The aim of the Trust is to make coalfields sustainable, prosperous, viable and cohesive without support. Our Mission Is As Follows:
“Working closely with partners, the CRT is a key agency promoting and achieving social and economic regeneration in the coalfields of England, Scotland and Wales.”
CRT’s ‘family’ of programmes are specially targeted to meet the needs of all generations and we award grants to community groups across the British coalfields. So far, we have awarded grants worth approximately £230 million through our grant-making programmes.
