Volunteer Recruitment: BUCS British Universities & Colleges Sport Championships 10th – 14th March 2010
Volunteers
are being sought for the British Universities & Colleges
Sport Championships, which is taking place in Sheffield in March 2010. The
Championships, the UK’s biggest annual multi-sport event, took place for the
first time in the city in March 2008 and was a huge success. The four-day
championship, which will act as a culmination of a year-round programme of
sport, will feature 26 sports across a combination of Team Finals and
Individual Championships and take place in 17 venues across the region.
The aim is to raise the level and profile of student sport from participation
through to elite competition, creating a legacy of experience for students -
both participants and spectators - and is designed to replicate the feel of a
major championship event.
